Handmade
Each of our Mexican hammocks is handmade from thousands of interwoven threads. Thanks to the traditional weaving technique, it is exceptionally flexible, durable, and perfectly adapts to the body.
Tradition of Mexico
Our hammocks are inspired by traditional Latin American craftsmanship. Colourful designs, lightweight construction and characteristic weave make Mexican hammocks known as some of the most comfortable in the world.
Exceptional comfort
Thanks to their dense weave and flexible structure, hammocks gently envelop the body, providing natural back support. They are the ideal place to relax in the garden, on the terrace, or on the balcony.
Healthy back support
The hand-woven construction evenly distributes body weight. The result? A feeling of lightness and exceptional comfort for relaxation.
Breathability in the heat
The distinctive design of the Mexican hammock allows air to flow freely around the body. Comfort you'll especially appreciate during summer heat.
Product created with passion
Behind every hammock are hours of manual labor, the experience of artisans, and a genuine passion for creating unique products.

Bigger and more comfortable than you might expect
Most people are surprised by their first encounter with a Mexican hammock. They often look unassuming in pictures, but once you get in, you discover it's a completely different experience compared to typical garden hammocks found in stores.
Our hammocks are designed not just for a short rest, but also for comfortable sleeping. Thanks to their large surface area and thousands of hand-woven threads, they conform to the body in a way that's difficult to experience in traditional fabric hammocks.
The largest models can easily accommodate two adults or a parent with children. In our garden, we very often use one hammock with four of us – two adults and two boys. That's when you can best see how much space a well-made Mexican hammock can offer.
Of course, this doesn't mean that every hammock is designed for four people. However, it shows how surprisingly spacious the largest models of Mexican hammocks can be.
It is precisely the size and characteristic construction that allow one to lie comfortably diagonally, with body weight distributed evenly over hundreds of elastic weaves. The result is fewer pressure points, greater comfort, and a pleasant feeling of being embraced.
That's why many hammock enthusiasts believe that a well-made Mexican hammock resembles a hanging bed more than a classic hammock.
At Hamakija, we believe that premium doesn't mean gold accessories or trendy slogans. Premium means comfort, durability, and craftsmanship that you can feel from the very first moment. That's why we choose hand-woven hammocks made in Mexico by artisans who have been perfecting their skills for generations.
Because sometimes the biggest difference isn't in how a hammock looks.
But in how you relax in it.
Hamakija was not founded in a corporation or a marketing agency.
It was born in an ordinary garden, amidst a treehouse, children's adventures, and evenings spent in a hammock.
We are a family brand created by people who themselves fell in love with Mexican hammocks. We were looking for a place where one could slow down, even for a moment, put down the phone, drink coffee, read a book, or simply just be together.
That's why before any hammock makes it into our offer, it first goes into our garden.
We test it during family gatherings, summer evenings, and lazy afternoons. That's why we know that our largest hammocks easily fit our entire 4-person family.
We believe that the best memories are not made in a rush. They are made when we find time to rest.
This is Hamakija.
